2010 Applications now open!

Applications are currently open for the 2010 Eco-Gold TeachLive Program. Applicants MUST* be Victoria Electricity, Queensland Electricity or South Australia Electricity customers to be eligible to apply.

* If you are not currently a customer but live in VIC, QLD or SA and would like to switch providers in order to be eligible to apply please notify ecogold@earthwatch.org.au of your intention to do so as well as confirmation once done.

In 2008 Victoria Electricity and Earthwatch Australia created a partnership to bring enriching, educational and environmentally conscious experiences to students, teachers and community members alike. Inspired by these experiences the program enables people to contribute positively to a sustainable environment and encourages the uptake of green energy and the overall reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Since the inception of the partnership Victoria Electricity, through the Eco-Gold Environmental Fund, has supported environmentally minded individuals and organisations within the community.

In 2009 Victoria Electricity focused on education by sponsoring their first teacher from Victoria on an Earthwatch expedition Wildlife of Brazil’s Pantanal – Amphibians, Reptiles and Otters .

By supporting TeachLive, the Victoria Electricity Eco-Gold Environmental Fund is proud to assist teachers and students in discovering areas of research and knowledge they have never before explored.
